Komodo Dragon
Varanus Komodoensis or also known as Komodo dragon is a large species of lizard that only can be found in Komodo Islands, located in the east part of Indonesian Archipelago. This species is considered the largest lizard that still lives in this world. The existence of Komodo dragon which is now very vulnerable makes Indonesian government puts Komodo as endangered species, making it illegal to be traded across the world. Approximately, a Komodo is able to grow until 2 to 3 meters and has a weight until 70 kilograms.
Komodo dragons are the dominant species in the Komodo Island. With no other carnivorous animals living in this place, this species conquer the whole region. The first Komodo dragon were first founded and recorded by the Western scientists in 1910. The deathly part about Komodo is not coming from its ability to run fast and bite, yet it comes from the bacteria it has contained in its saliva.
The bacteria consisting in Komodo dragon’s saliva are E. Coli, and other dangerous bacteria, making him the deathliest lizard that ever lives in this planet.
